 Meet Jessica Porter – Principal

Dr. Jessica Porter is thrilled to begin a new school year as the proud principal of the CCSD Preschool Centers, an assignment that holds an incredibly special place in her heart. With 33 years of experience as an educator, she brings a passion for early learning and a strong commitment to student success.

Dr. Porter’s educational journey began teaching at a local preschool, Woodstock Elementary School, and continued at Woodstock Middle School. She later served as a Teacher on Special Assignment for the Race to the Top initiative and then spent the past decade as the Assistant Principal of Holly Springs Elementary STEM Academy, where she helped lead programs and supported student achievement.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (with additional middle grades) from Kennesaw State University, a Master’s degree from Brenau University, and both a Specialist and Doctorate degree in Leadership, which reflect her dedication to lifelong learning and educational excellence.

Dr. Porter is honored to serve the district’s youngest learners and their families. Dr. Porter looks forward to a wonderful year ahead, filled with growth and connections at CCSD Preschool Centers.

Angela Moody – Assistant Principal

Angela Moody is honored to serve as Assistant Principal over Cherokee County Preschools. Angela has been an Assistant Principal for five years both at the Middle School level and the  Elementary level.  Prior to being a school-based administrator, she taught Pre School Special Education and worked for the Office of Special Education as Teacher on Special Assignment for Autism and Behavior Disorders.

Mrs. Moody loves supporting students, parents and teachers.  Her door is always open, and she believes that strong relationships with students, families, and teachers help make a school a safe, fun place for students to learn and to grow!  She is excited to be involved in early intervention for Pre School, as this is where her love of education began! ❤
